Fructose Malabsorption Recipes: Thanksgiving Cranberry Sauce

Cranberry Sauce2__No Sugarless Gum

Cranberry sauce is insanely easy to make, and will help to round out your fructose free Thanksgiving dinner since the other foods are a tad colorless.

This was the first time I’ve ever had cranberry sauce and I quite liked it.  I really just used it as a dipping sauce for the turkey, but my dad was eating it plain and seemed to think it was pretty good too!

  • 1 1/4 cup of dextrose
  • 1 cup of water
  • 12 ounces of fresh cranberries (washed)Cranberry Sauce3__No Sugarless Gum

Put the water and dextrose in a saucepan over medium heat and stir until dissolved.

Bring water to a boil and then add in the cranberries.  Simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the berries have burst.

Elimination Diet safe: Yes!
